I was serving as the Head Coach for the U.S. Skeleton Team, so my mom came down from Calgary to watch the skeleton event at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Park City. Of the 15,000 people jammed into Utah Olympic Park for the competition, it turns out she was standing next to U.S. athlete Lea Ann Parsley's parents. Lea Ann ended up winning a silver medal, so it was a good day for all. From left - my mother Helen, Lea Ann's father Bob, her mother Ruth Ann, and her sister Aimee.
